ADAC GT: Lausitz Preview

Three sets of brothers will be competing at this weekends Euro Speedway ADAC GT Masters race. Swiss brothers Andre and Remo Lips will join twins Robert and Alfred Renauer along with Tim and Jorg Bergmeister this weekend. The two Swiss will share the orange-colored Corvette GT3 Callaway Competition Z06.R #19. This will be a first time they have raced at the Euro Speedway ADAC GT Masters circuit.
Another team to watch this weekend at the Euro Speedway will be Martin Karl Hofer and Sascha Bert. They will drive the #28 Callaway Corvette Competition-Z06.R GT3. These two Corvette drivers ran well at the second weekend of the season at the Sachsenring. In the second race Bert/Hofer finished third on the podium. The Euro Speedway is a good track for Bert: In 2007, he took the first pole for Corvette in the ADAC GT Masters race that year.
The 2010 ADAC GT Masters race will feature a number of previous winning brands at the Euro Speedway. This includes: Corvette (2007, 2009), Lamborghini (2007) Porsche (2008), Audi (2009) are all registered on the winners lists. The most successful drivers in the Lausitz are Jörg and Tim Bergmeister along with Toni Seiler. They each have two victories. The Fastest man on the Euro Speedway Lausitz is Corvette driver Christian Hohenadel. The Saar region driver holds the unofficial lap qualifying record (1:22,488/150.218 km/h) and the official ADAC GT Masters-lap record (1:23,818).
The long pause between the last ADAC Masters Weekend in Assen and the Euro Speedway helped numerous drivers to recover from the last race in Malaysia. Winners Peter Kox and Christopher Haase, who won in a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 at the 12-hour race of Sepang are rested and ready for this weekend. At the Nürburgring-Nordschleife Christian Hohenadel and Niclas Kentenich finished on the podium in the Porsche 911 GT3 R of Manthey Racing. "Meet the drivers" autograph and interview sessions will take place on Saturday at 16.00 in front of the ADAC motorhome in the paddock.
