FIA GT1 2010 Brazil round officially announced

Last weekend, the organizers of the FIA GT1 World in 2010 had the opportunity to announce the Brazilian round that will close the first season, November 28 by hosting the 12th and final round.
The announcement was made by Stephane Ratel together with partners SRO for South America: Antonio Hermann and Walter Derani. “I am proud to announce we finalized the agreement to stage a round of the FIA World GT1 Championship in Brazil next year”, commented a jubilant Ratel during the warm reception he had from the Brazilian specialized journalists. “And the reason we have chosen Brazil is very obvious: this country is fashionable, it is on a high. It will host the 2014 World Soccer Championship, the 2016 Olympic Games… and we already have Brazilian drivers in the GT1 Series, two very fast fellows indeed (Roberto Streit and Enrique Bernoldi, winners of the Paul Ricard round with a Corvette C6R from the Sangari Team Brazil squad). And of course Interlagos is a great race track. So we have it all to be successful here, as well as in every other venue we will race from 2010 on”.
With questions relating to the teams and the cars next year, Ratel confirmed more details regarding the teams. A total of 24 entries are looking set to start next season in GT1 (with the standard performance balancing taking place in a few months), 6 manufacturers will be represented (Aston Martin, Corvette, Maserati, Ford, Lamborghini and Nissan) with each team required to have at least 2 cars per team.
The number of manufacturers is predicted to grow, given that at least 4 others have had contact with the organizers, perhaps only to participate in the testing of balance of performance and can even be at the start of the Le Mans Series, we're talking about Saleen, but also Lexus Toyota.
