Christophe Bouchut- SRT Corvette C6R :

“The Championship is very close this year, so I am pleased that we are in the lead. We’ve lost 20 kg after Adria, so Oschersleben should be a bit better. It is not my favourite circuit, but we crossed the line in third place last year, so we will try to do as well this year, and get another podium. The whole team is competitive. I had not expected to be fighting for the lead this year, so it’s a good situation to be in. Of course, the Total 24 Hours of Spa is always a deciding factor in the season, but the team is well prepared and everything is looking positive.”

Mike Hezemans- Phoenix Corvette C6R :

“I’m looking forward to the event – that’s where I got my best ever photo, when I flew two years ago ! We always have good races there – it’s quite small but I like it ! Adria was great for the team; we finally got the result we hoped for. I hope the luck continues. Fabrizio and I are both fast and we form a strong team. We’ll have 40 kg in the car, but I don’t think it really starts to affect you under 60 or 70 kg. You can still win with 40 kg. I don’t mind having as much weight as possible for Spa, as you don’t carry it there, so it’s free ! The Championship is so competitive lately, it’s really interesting. The level is really high this year.”

Wolfgang Kaufmann– AT Racing Corvette C5R :

“Our three Citation Cup wins have really been OK, especially for my team mate Aliaksandr Talkanitsa, who is new to international racing. He is very motivated and he tries to apply everything I explain him to the track… With the difficult weather situation, and our restricted tyre choice in the Citation Cup, we do our best but it is really difficult. Our main target in Oschersleben is to win the Citation Cup again. It would be a pleasure for me to be able to compete with the other GT1 cars. The Peka Racing Corvette C5R was very fast in Oschersleben last year, but our car is the 2003 version, so we cannot expect the same speed.”
