Positive start for SRT in Monza

After a sucessful 2 day test in Monza, SRT has high hopes for the new year after being among the fastest during the Thursday and Friday sessions. This year will see SRT campaign a new C6R after running a C5R in the Citation Cup last year and the test proved a good shakedown for the new car.

"I’m highly pleased that we didn’t experience any mechanical or other problems, and that we were able to fully concentrate on the car’s set-up. It’s of major importance that in the week’s to come we thoroughly master the car; allowing us to take on the season fully prepared.

Team owner Patrick Selleslagh also express his thoughts
on the new drivers for 2008:

The first day was exceptionally good. Both drivers, Xavier Maassen and Christophe Bouchut fulfilled their job outstandingly well, and by the end of the day we were up amongst the top players. These drivers are compatible and obviously a homogenous team is a major asset when it comes to endurance racing."

SRT will now be gearing up for the first round of the FFSA GT series in France this weekend, which will see a new paint scheme and first outing for the 2007 champions in the C6R.
