
SRO announces new Dutch GT4 series

SRO Motorsports from London England signed a three-year GT4 franchise agreement with Circuit Zandvoort. Circuit Zandvoort will be the official series GT4 promoter in the Netherlands and will have the right to run the “Dutch GT4 Championship”.
The new Championship was officially launched on 24 June with various GT4 cars present that will compete in the new series. These included Corvette C6, Aston Martin, BMW, Porsche and Nissan. The series will begin in 2009 and will include seven events at Spa, Zolder, Zandvoort and Assen in the Netherlands and Belgium. The series will run according to the SRO-registered technical regulations and homologation procedures. The series will also use SRO’s balance of performance rules to ensure all the
brands are competitive.

in the history of Dutch Motor Sport.
We strongly believe in the future of the GT4 category, we are glad to be a part of this international movement.” GM has partnered with Callaway Competition in Leingarten Germany to construct and make available for sale 2009 GT4 C6 Corvettes. These cars have been approved by the SRO technical committee and will be race ready when delivered to the customer.
