Jeroen Bleekemolen ready for 2010 season
The new racing season is coming and the preparations are in full swing for Jeroen Bleekemolen. The Dutchmen will be racing again this season for Corvette Motorsport in the Dutch GT4 Championship and will be partnered with Peter van der Kolk.
After a somewhat hesitant start to 2009 in the Dutch GT4, Jeroen and Peter managed to win 4 races in the C6 GT4. Jeroen had already committed two championships, thus missing certain rounds. The calendar for 2010 looks beter than last year for the Dutchmen and will not conflict for any rounds. In 6 weeks Jeroen and Peter will take to the track and like last season they drive in a Corvette C6 GT4 for Certainty Racing. The expectations are high.
Jeroen Bleekemolen: "Last year I was working almost every weekend and took the title in the Porsche Supercup. Of course I was sorry that I have only a limited number of races in the Dutch GT4 in which i could drive. The matche with me and the Corvette that I've been driving has been great. I think the Dutch GT4 Championship is a great series with top drivers and a many excellent Dutch drivers. It's fun to compete in my home country. I expect a lot for the new season. The competition will be much stronger than the previous season. Often you see people with sharper skills after dotting the i's the year before and are better prepared. Even more fast riders will participate. That is good for the class and good for the fight. And we fight hard. Peter was seriously injured last year. Since then, Peter has been training at home like a beast. Last year, he has no minutes to train, but he should be well prepared for this year. "
Peter van der Kolk: "Obviously I am happy that we will be driving together again for 2010. 2009 was for me a season to forget. Jeroen had even more chances to be champion, But here there was no luck in the end. Next season will be very different for me and am looking forward to racing in a few weeks. "
The overall structure of the team will be announced later. The first races will take place during the Easter races on the circuit of Zandvoort.
