This past week saw the first entries for next years Le Mans 24 Hours. The teams annouced were all apart of the "automatic entries" that are gained after completing either 1st and 2nd in various races or championships elidgible.

Corvette Motorsport will see 3 entries from Europe and 2 from the US based Corvette Racing. Apart from the regular auto entries from Luc Alphand, PK Carsport will see the team compete for the first time at La Sarthe!

"This is a great moment for a small team like ours," says a proud and elated Anthony Kumpen. "For the first time in my life, PK Carsport gets an automatic invitation. We are working hard to ensure our participation as soon as possible with confirmation soon. We are in full negotiations with potential partners for a program in 2010. Besides a full FIA GT Championship, Le Mans was obviously a nice cherry on the pie."

"We have a great package for Le Mans where Pratt & Miller raced and won last year in the GT1 Corvette C6-R, the car which this year won two races in the FIA GT championship. Our team has a lot of experience when it comes to endurance racing. This year we won the 24hrs of Spa Francorchamps and we also achieved numerous other victories. With our win at the 24 hours of Spa in 2009, we are looking for a strong package for Le Mans with the goal is of course victory. I think if we look to the provisional GT1 class and successfully work together with Pratt & Millar, we certainly will be ambitious. Unfortunately we can not confirm 100% but we are trying to speak to the appropriate partners and to seek a 3rd pilot beside me and Mike Hezemans for the race."
